This week is all about setting up for Christmas and oil-soaked food. On the gaming front Trees has finally 100 percent completed Maneater, DLC and all, as well as rounding out the end of Picross Sega. The real highlight is the new CMS 2021 DLC that includes Jaguars and Pugatis. Fred has been continuing to enjoy Final Fantasy VII Remake and taking his RPG interests to a whole new level with the tabletop game Hero Quest (yes, that one from the early 90s) and the PC indie darling Wildermyth.

As always, we say “nothing happened” but yet we go on nearly an hour about this nothing. Then it’s time to go to the Switch where updates discover bluetooth, games were announced (and released), and we learn of the best casting ever for the 2022 Super Mario movie. On the gaming front, Trees continues with Car Mechanic Simulator, wraps Maneater and leaps into the Truth Quest DLC, customizes boats in AC Valhalla, and plays around with the perspective bending Superliminal. Fred has been going all arcade with Cruis’n Blast, engages heavy with Magic the Gathering Arena thanks to the Innestrad: Midnight Hunt set, and drags his way to the finish line of Sackboy. He also contemplates Halloween gaming and how his play habits may be in direct contradiction to his decision making on what to play.

This week it’s birthday’s for Trees and dog bars for Fred. Much on the gaming front as well, starting with Maneater, which Trees is still working through with his son and Fred has completed 100 percent. Additionally Trees was getting very Playstation Home-like with Riders Republic (the beta) and…Car Mechanic Simulator 2021! Fred waved goodbye to 12 Minutes and Doom II while continuing through Psychonauts 2 and having some GameStop shenanigans. His highlight this week, however, is that he’s really enjoying the life (and death) of Demon’s Souls.

This week is rather uneventful for Trees but Fred triggers an incidental 30+ minute conversation regarding masks and schools. A topic spreading through the country, there is some perspective on both arguments. Moving over to games there’s more Car Mechanic Simulator talk that includes both the 2021 console release and a PSN sale on 2018. Both hosts have been playing Maneater and are ironically stuck in a very common bug. Trees continues on with AC Valhalla and having fun with it as well as starting Hades. Fred did a lot of reading, watching, and buying before finishing with some critical views on Metal Gear Solid 2 HD.

This week Fred returns from vacation to talk about the wonders of the Ozarks while Trees is living up kids parties and beach life. On the video game front Trees has been enjoying a new game called Car Mechanic Simulator, enjoying the levels of Maneater, and trying out the new Picross: Sega Edition. He also started Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Fred tried to like Ivy the Kiwi? and ended up in a deep hole (temporarily) with match 3 games. Finally in honor of the 20th anniversary, he’s giving a second go to Metal Gear Solid 2 HD (this time on PS3).

This week was relatively uneventful for our hosts, but that doesn’t stop the discussion. From the demonic nature of the loon to bandoleers of beer, life finds a way. On the gaming front Trees has upgraded his DLC in Car Mechanic Simlator, explored Billions Road further, and continues to grind Minecraft Dungeons with his son. This transitions to a dual discussion on Maneater, which Fred has also started this week. Fred also wraps up Cold War, enjoys some retro on the MiSTer, and has a serious fit over the Panzer Dragoon franchise, particularly Orta. It all wraps with some quick words on Sackboy’s Big Adventure and the addicting but also slow moving nature of Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
