This week is rather uneventful for Trees but Fred triggers an incidental 30+ minute conversation regarding masks and schools. A topic spreading through the country, there is some perspective on both arguments. Moving over to games there’s more Car Mechanic Simulator talk that includes both the 2021 console release and a PSN sale on 2018. Both hosts have been playing Maneater and are ironically stuck in a very common bug. Trees continues on with AC Valhalla and having fun with it as well as starting Hades. Fred did a lot of reading, watching, and buying before finishing with some critical views on Metal Gear Solid 2 HD.

This week Fred returns from vacation to talk about the wonders of the Ozarks while Trees is living up kids parties and beach life. On the video game front Trees has been enjoying a new game called Car Mechanic Simulator, enjoying the levels of Maneater, and trying out the new Picross: Sega Edition. He also started Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Fred tried to like Ivy the Kiwi? and ended up in a deep hole (temporarily) with match 3 games. Finally in honor of the 20th anniversary, he’s giving a second go to Metal Gear Solid 2 HD (this time on PS3).

This week was relatively uneventful for our hosts, but that doesn’t stop the discussion. From the demonic nature of the loon to bandoleers of beer, life finds a way. On the gaming front Trees has upgraded his DLC in Car Mechanic Simlator, explored Billions Road further, and continues to grind Minecraft Dungeons with his son. This transitions to a dual discussion on Maneater, which Fred has also started this week. Fred also wraps up Cold War, enjoys some retro on the MiSTer, and has a serious fit over the Panzer Dragoon franchise, particularly Orta. It all wraps with some quick words on Sackboy’s Big Adventure and the addicting but also slow moving nature of Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

This week Fred goes first and manages to avoid drama in public rather than cause it while Trees is rocking back-to-back birthday parties. The two also give much love to the upcoming Picross S Sega release before delving into games. Fred finished Miles Morales, started Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut, and played plenty of coop with his daughter in It Takes Two. He also speaks of the ups and downs of playing Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. Trees has been repairing actual Gameboys, but also virtual cars in Car Mechanic Simulator. He also received his copy of Billions Road and got started in his empire building while also playing Minecraft Dungeons and some random shark game with his boy.

This week has been pretty boring for both our hosts, but there’s still chat about life, shopping, and entertainment. On the gaming front Trees continues his addiction to Car Mechanic Simulator, which is spreading. He also got back into Darkest Dungeon and tried the Xbox version of Tetris Effect Connected. Fred has been playing It Takes Two with his daughter, went retro with Panzer Dragoon, and burned through most of Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PS5. He also played a chunk of Ninja Blade by From Software, but the story is more than it initially seemed.

This week starts off with a very Sega discussion about the classic Genesis (or Mega Drive) days. We also hear about block parties and the joy of Best Buy employees before jumping into games. Trees traded in his XB1, took the plunge into the so-so Mario Golf and continues to dominate in Car Mechanic Simulator to the point that he’s almost out of things to do. The highlight this week for him was still Yakuza: Like a Dragon where the story is enticing but it’s main protagonist Ichiban that may be Trees’ favorite gaming character of all time. Fred wrapped Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, had a horrid time with Sea of Thieves, continues to enjoy Far Cry: Primal, and delved into getting gaming deals via Gamefly. He’s also going a bit retro with the newest re-release of Doom on Xbox and replaying Psychonauts.

This week there’s little time for personal life, so even these two dads give little attention to Father’s Day like the rest of the world. Trees finally has his new 4K TV set up and got to dazzle at his first Series X games, but he had to return quickly to his day job of full time mechanic in Car Mechanic Simulator on PS4. Fred dove into Dark Alliance thanks to a day one release on Game Pass and his impressions on both console and PC were disappointing. Despite this, he’s having nothing but a blast with both Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Far Cry Primal.

E3 happened and Fred watched less than normal while Trees watched more than normal and it all worked out to a fun rundown. On the games front Trees has become an official brake pads inspector with Car Mechanic Simulator (CMS) and he’s been dabbling in development with Game Builder Garage. Fred completed Mass Effect, toyed around with the Tunic demo, and has been enjoying Ratchet & Clank: A Rift Apart.
