Microsoft’s big clunky box from 2001 may have been laughable at first, but whether you were aware or not it hit like a limited interest storm that holiday. From a certain shooter to the catalog of Sega and a myriad of PC ports, there’s no denying the Xbox started to bridge the gap between console and computer. Fred and Jam duke it out once again with 40 more of their favorite titles to see which 10 remain in this month’s Top 10 Xbox games.
Extra Credit: PSP Community Top 10
Not the most popular console among the GH101 community, but thanks to a handful of people we have a short, but delightful list of games beloved on Sony’s first portable. Be sure to give it a listen and find out what’s coming up for our July Top 10. We didn’t write out the top 10 because the podcast is so short (10 minutes) and it would spoil the fun. Go listen!
Top 10 Playstation Portable (PSP) Games Debate and Reveal
For this month, Jam and Fred are discussing the top 10 games for the Playstation Portable (PSP). Despite being an emulation and piracy machine from the moment it released, the PSP is not only an impressive piece of hardware but it also provided a library of great software. Clearly some games stand out on both our lists but what was most impressive were the rock solid titles that one of us never even knew existed. If you look at the full article you can see our top 10 without listening to the podcast.

Podcast/Article: The Top 10 Nintendo 64 Games
Due to a video issue and the ever growing challenge of collecting all of the games necessary for a top 10, we’ve decided to go audio only on the debate and reveal. It’s not all bad news though, we do have the printed version if you don’t want to listen to the nearly 2 hour debate over our top 10. Also be sure to submit your own top 10 via this comments section, sending an e-mail, or join the Patreon at $3 or more to be entered into a contest for $10 in Nintendo eShop credit. We want strong community involvement for next week’s response. The contest ends next Thursday, May 14, at midnight Eastern time. The text top 10 is below.

Community Choice: Top 10 Genesis/Mega Drive Games
When Jam and I posted the Top 10 Genesis/Mega Drive games we knew that given our two styles and having to find a top 10 was going to be difficult and pretty much hated on without a true Sonic game. What is even better was that you all in the community came together and commented, wrote in, and gave us your favorite top 10s. We then compiled all the games and gave them a point value based on the location on each person’s top ten (number 10 = 1 point, 9 = 2 points, and all the way to number 1 = 10 points) and generated the community top 10. For better or worse, here’s the community voted upon Top 10:
10. Fatal Labyrinth
9. Streets of Rage
8. Vectorman
7. Sonic the Hedgehog 3
6. Mortal Kombat
5. Gunstar Heroes
4. Aladdin
3. Shining Force II
2. Streets of Rage 2
1. Sonic the Hedgehog 2
So there you go, the much more balanced top 10 voted on by all of you out there. In the upcoming months we are going to do the editors versus the community on future top 10’s, all with participants being entered to win a prize, so stick with us for more top 10 criticism.
Top 10 Genesis/Mega Drive Games
You asked, we’re delivering. Each month for quite some time Fred and Jam will be getting into the ring to debate our version of the top 10 games of each console, beginning with Sega’s 16-bit giant the Genesis/Mega Drive. Sure, it’s mostly just a video for people to love/hate on, but we also include a podcast containing our debate over the list and how we got to each game. Needless to say many of you will disagree, so have at it in the comments and maybe you’ll win a game for the beloved console.
Wanna hear how we got there? Here’s the podcast containing the debate:
