Video: Let’s Compare Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Thanks to the backward compatibility program on Xbox One, you can now play Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) in 1080p on the Xbox One and 4K on the Xbox One X. In this video we compare the resolution and performance of the original Xbox version, the Xbox 360 emulated version, both Xbox One versions, and finally the PC (with an without mods). This video is mastered in 4K at 60 fps, so if you have a screen that supports it we highly recommend viewing on that.
E3 2017: GHX Ep. 11 – What Did You Play?
The biggest split between those that attend E3 and those that watch coverage online is the show itself. Aside from this year, E3 online usually ends on Monday when all the press conferences happen and the big announcements stop. For those that attend the show it’s the exact opposite with most missing the press conferences due to lack of invite or decent Internet, but you’ll be able to play many of the games on the actual show floor. In this “returning from E3” episode, Fred and Jam are joined by guests Andy (42 Level One, Agents of Shieldcast) and Chip (The B-Team Podcast, Agents of Shieldcast, Knuckleballer Radio) to discuss the games Fred actually played at E3. There’s plenty of discussion to be had and lots of insight on what we’ll be seeing in late 2017/early 2018. Note: This episode has no audio anomalies and a sound quality on par with what you have come to expect from our podcasts.

Please note: Due to a copyright claim involving the music in a certain video, our Shadows of the Empire stream has been taken down. We tried to remove the Hoth theme from the video but it ended up with a video that was only 4 minutes long and you couldn’t make sense of it. It is possible to view this stream for a short time on our Twitch channel.
Extra Credit: Knights of the Old Republic
Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR for short), is notable for many reasons. Developers BioWare and Obsidian not only created a new plotline, in fact part of a new history, of Star Wars, but managed to also do so with RPG elements. From the moment development began to the release of the sequel, KOTOR is definitely an influential part of the video game universe of Star Wars. This episode delves into development, mechanics, and release of both titles in the series.
Extra Credit: Battlefront
There were two main franchises we couldn’t get to in our Star Wars episodes: Battlefront and Knights of the Old Republic. Both have significance not only to the fan base but to the world ofStar Wars gaming because they are excellent examples of how to take the license, think outside of the box, and run with it. First up is Pandemic’s Battlefront series hosted by Jamalais and documenting one of the more addicting early online console franchises.
The Phantom Podcast
On the week of The Force Awakens release, we decided to go ahead and finish our Star Wars video game series with the most controversial and feared topic of all: the games based on or released around the time of the prequels. It’s not so bad and it leads to a discussion on the impressions and impact of the prequel films before the Internet changed our minds.
